Self-Care Retreat (At Home!)
Date: Sunday October 11th via Zoom | Time: 10:15 am - 4:30 pm EDT
Self-care is the practice of taking action to preserve or improve one's own health.
We must all take a role in protecting our own well-being and happiness especially in times of stress.
Join Jessica Sandhu, Sihnuu Hetep and Kate Rivard for a joyous and grounding day that is all about self-care and healing:
10:15-12pm
Kate will guide you through a 45 minute nourishing yoga practice followed 30 minutes guided self-massage.
1:15-3pm
Sihnuu will lead you through meditation, restorative yoga, guided visualization and then journey inward with journaling prompts/questions.
3-4:30pm
Jessica will finish with some fall into winter nutrition hacks ending with a 40 minute yoga nidra.
The Nourishment.
Self-care creates the environment and conditions you need to live in a grounded community. Think about what nourishes you and what self-care practices are essential for you.
How do you want to care for yourself? Through yoga, meditation, reflection and sharing, we'll connect, reflect and create a plan to integrate practices of care in these uncertain times.
The Sacred Space.
You don’t need a lot of room or a fancy space to make your space sacred for this retreat and beyond it. Simply get creative about making time and space in your day and some literal space in your home.
Work with what you have as many of us share spaces with family, friends and partners (and animals!) Simply do your best to work with it.
The best part of doing a retreat at home is that it is real and you can utilize the challenges to make this work no matter what. Always recognizing that we never really have control when things don’t go as planned.
Self-care is tough to integrate for all of us and that is why we are doing this retreat.
